power to wake the dead

okay, here is another scenario for you, always interesting to see the choices made. you could bring back ANYONE from death for an afternoon. It could be to share time, talk, sit quietly, debate, berate, break bread, anything. You can only choose three individuals though. Who would you choose, and more importantly why?

I'll go first.

1. My mom. she died way too young (only 50) and I really didn't get the chance to say many of the things I wish I could have to her, especially since I was living out of state at the time.

2. Theodore Roosevelt. I would definitely pick his brain on various topics and get his opinion on everything from hunting to land preservation to imperialism to life in general.

3. Winston Churchill. I would love to know his perspective on World War II outside of published comments. Additionally, he was such a witty, sarcastic fellow I would enjoy sitting and being captivated by some of his stories.

Those are my three, what are yours?

  7. Susan B. Anthony: She was one of the suffragettes, woman who fought for woman's rights, and particularly a woman's right to vote. She was also a Unitarian Universalist (My religion) and she has my same birthday (January 9th) so not only was she a great woman, she and I have a lot in common.

Amelia Earhart: She was the first woman to ever fly across oceans, but the real reason I would want to talk to her is because I want to know what happened when she flew over the Bermuda Triangle. Did she et sucked in? Did she crash? Was there a hurricane? Did a sea monster drag her to the depths? The questions are endless.

Coco Chanel: I know this sounds kind off stupid, but she was a one of the first big woman designers, and she brought herself up from nothing. I mean, she was a dressmaker, who sometimes made her own dresses. These were devoured by the masses, until she had enough money to start her own store. Now Chanel is a world recognized brand. How cool is that? She also made some of the first trousers for woman.

  9. The first person I would bring back is Nick Adenhart because I would want him to have another chance to start his career. He was only 23 and it's not fair that he got to only play 3 games and then got into a car accident.

The second person I would bring back is Amelia Earhart because she was the first woman to get her pilots license. I really want to be a pilot so I think that being able to talk to her a little about flying would really help me on working towards my goal.

The third person I would bring back is Jerry Garcia. I would do this because he is my dad's favorite musician and it would make him really happy to be able to see him at least once more live in concert. Also because he did see him life but I would really enjoy going to the concert he would really like that.
